about

I wrote this song and "Chasing Satellites" in the same day. This song is about the give and take, the back and forth, and the doubts in a relationship. Darrell Leven plays a mean solo in this song too!

lyrics

TUG OF WAR

Verse: Am Em (7x)
C D (2x)
Am Em (4x)

Chorus: Am C Em (2x)
Am Em Am Em Am
C D Em Am(2x)

(verse)
I'm naked and oblivious to all I once knew and everything I believe, but that's me and you in this crazy tug of war

(chorus)
If I had a car then I would drive to the California line and wash my hands of all I believe, but that's me and you, in this crazy tug of war

(verse)
And now I see you as I never have before, what a bore, maybe you never really cared for me, maybe you never really loved me like I loved you, in this crazy tug of war

(chorus)
If I had a car then I would drive to the California line and wash my hands of all I believe, but that's me and you, in this crazy tug of war

(bridge – same as verse)

(chorus)
