I wrote this song in the haze of seeing terrorist attacks and war on tv and, quite honestly, being afraid of what was going on "outside" my doors. That idea, while being single at the time and not having anyone else around, made me especially long for a relationship, a love, that would assuage those fears and make me forget about all the hate and violence outside. The original acoustic version appears on "Television and Trash", but I had always wanted to put strings on it, so when I had the opportunity to do so when recording this cd, I rerecorded this song.
