about

I wrote this song when I first heard of "The God Particle" (the Higgs Boson). I thought it amazingly interesting and then wrote this song about a scientist who spends most of his hours on this earth searching for the existence of the Higgs Boson instead of spending his time living and enjoying life.

lyrics

He spent his life in his books by the glow of computer light
In attempts to prove his hypothesis right
And all the time that he spent with the data and experiments
All the signs that he missed were in front of his eyes
While searching for the God Particle

And as the decades slipped away he stared into the hospital lights
Thinking back on what he couldn't prove right
And all the time that he spent with the data and experiments
May have been better spent breathing in life
Instead of searching for the God Particle
