This song is important to me, personally. Although, all of my songs are personally important to me, of course. However, this song is is important for several reasons -
1 - It is the first song I ever wrote on the ukulele.
2 - It's a song about choosing to be happy and healthy, which is something that is easy to say, but difficult to do. I think, after writing this song with all honesty, it has helped me to live more truthfully in that manner.
3 - I recorded the song at Hello Telescope in Charleston, SC with Josh Kaler. Josh is a great producer and musician and I had a lot of fun there. He's in the great band Slow Runner - I'm a big fan.
4 - The cool artwork was done by Charlie Brand, the lead singer of another band that I'm a big fan of - The Miniature Tigers.

Put down that cigarette and lay to rest all those demons that called us before because depression can be such a bore. This is our last cigarette.
